This beautiful church overlooking the Pacific Ocean is available for weddings, memorial services, funerals and spiritual meditation sevices.
Do we have to be Catholic? No, but all services must be pre-approved by our Pastor and conform to the sacred purposes for which Mary Star of the Sea is dedicated
What are the rental fees? $500 for the first 4 hours, including rehearsal; each additional hour is $50. Security deposit = $200 Liability insurance = $125
When are fees due? Half of the rental plus the security deposit is due when submitting the application and the balance is due 30 days prior to the event. Reservations cancelled before 30 days prior to the event date will be refunded minus a $100 booking fee.
How far in advance do I need to book the Church? At least 30 days. Rentals are first come, first served and Parishioners have priority for scheduling. All events at the facility must be approved by our Pastor to assure they conform to the sacred purposes of this Church.
How many guests does the Church accommodate? The building occupany is 110 people
Is there parking? Yes, the Church has an adjacent on-site private lot plus limited street parking, subject to availability
Do we need insurance? Yes, renters must have insurance and any required licenses. Additionally, a fee of $125 is charged for liability insurance for the Parish
Is there an area for an on-site reception? No, there is a very small area for greetings. We recommend checking our "Local Information" page for the many nice local commercial venues for receptions.
The rental committee will handle the reservation, collect rental and deposit fees, verify that renters have proper insurance and licenses. They will provide access to the building, insure the facility is in good condition after the event and authorize the return of any deposits.
